Ventrilo
It is not essential for you to have Ventrilo installed. We do however encourage people to download it, a voice server helps to get people knowing each other better. After all there is no better way to communicate than the spoken word.
The guild will have it’s own private Ventrilo server for member use primarily and friends are allowed. More details on this are found in our forum.
Downloading Instructions:
1) Go to the Ventrilo website.
2) Click the ‘Downloads’ link.
3) Choose from one of the appropriate Client Programs.
Profanities
We do not punish people for swearing, after all it is merely used to express something strongly. We do ask however that you swear in moderation (after all, there is no need to swear 15 times in a sentence).
Member Behaviour
Guild respect
We expect everyone in the guild to respect each other and their opinions. We are all human and sometimes we will disagree. If a discussion in the guild chat becomes a personal disagreement take it to party chat or whisper’s. We do not want to hear people screaming at each other in the guild chat.
Representing the guild
When you play as a member of Indefinite Alliance, you’re representing our guild. If the game has channels such as ‘general’ or ‘trade’, we ask that you act appropriately. Do not scream and bad mouth other people in these channels as you will give the guild a bad reputation.
Be friendly
A guild is there so players can help each other out as well as be social. If someone says in guild chat: Looking for members to instance XYZ
Please reply to them even if the answer is ‘No thank you’ it is just polite to do so and no one likes to get completely ignored.
Thievery
Ninja Looting will not be tolerated by IA. If you are caught as someone who steals loot intentionally without any attempts to give it to the player who it should belong to, you will be kicked.
Activity
Players have to remain active to be in our guild, we want to be a social guild not a dead one. If you have to go inactive for any reason please send an e-mail to myself or Dan, (check the contact us post in guild news). Otherwise please post it in the forums.
Guild size
The size of the guild will never exceed around 60 members. We want to keep this number so the community is tight and strong and does not get out of hand.
