End-Game
[Pasted from our official End-game thread in the member-only forum]
PvE/Casual
- We will be raiding twice a week (days not yet confirmed)
- We won’t be moving up to 3 days a week raiding for the forseeable future to maintain a casual environment for all members
- We will consistently strive to remain as social as we are now whilst progressing in end game
There are a few reasons we are going for this type. One, is that I mentioned it in my post about ‘IA and the launch of TOR’, it is a great way to progress and also myself, Lumiaya and Psylus have very strong backgrounds in leading and performing raids. Secondly, based on the mechanics of the game PvE is more beneficial to all of us (from a loot persective) as PvP gear can be obtained entirely solo.
Other Activities
As many of you know from reading the website, Indefinite is rooted as a PvP guild – it is where we started and part of that foundation means we will not ignore it. Although not an officially specified night, we will run PvP groups every night myself or Lumiaya is online.
Additionally, any member has the opportunity to put themselves forward for the position of a PvP team leader, we will test your skills in this area and designate you to starting and leading teams. If you wish to apply for this you must:
- Own a microphone and be happy to speak on vent
- Understand how to speak to people when under pressure and keep a cool manner
General End Game Notes
Crucially, if you want to participate in end-game you need to show a willingness to learn and be able to take constructive criticism. We would like to see those who wish to participate be prepared to do the following:
- Read guides online to improve their mechanics (such as your rotation)
- Provide your own stims and other benefiting effects
On this topic I feel I need to explain further. I understand that it might be a difficult thing to ask of those in the guild who wish to remain more casual but I have to lay out these requirements for end-game due to the nature of play. I understand that we’ve all paid for this game and want to play it ‘our own way’, however if you want to participate in end-game you step into the boundary of other members game and you need to put in the effort accordingly so we play much more seamlessly.
Furthermore, with regards to PvE we will be implementing a priority system – the details of which are not yet finalized. This system will give priority placements to those who have:
- Highest attendance for operations
- Most enthusiasm and readiness to learn
Please note that there will be a fair rotation system/policy implemented to ensure those who do not get a chance to raid often are still invited to raids. Based on our current online numbers per evening (about 15-16 members) I’d say we wont have many issues though.
To recap:
- PvE/Casual guild, raiding twice a week on ‘officially’ specified nights
- PvP on all off nights where any designated PvP team leader is online
(In case I haven’t been clear, we are treating these both as end-game and require the same amount of effort towards learning)
- Members who wish to participate in end-game must be prepared to learn more about the game
Lastly, let me stress that we will not be hardcore. Nor will we ever ostracize anyone who does not want to participate in these end-game activities actively.
