Jedi Knight Holonet Update
Posted by Aetheus - Friday, August 13th, 2010
The Jedi Knight class has had a nice update on the holonet. For me personally, this dispels some of the belief amongst the community about bias towards the Sith side in marketing and the releases we have seen so far. The JK update has been released with a short video that actually makes the class look pretty epic to play.
As part of our ongoing class updates, we are thrilled to confirm the Advanced Classes for the valiant Jedi Knight – Guardian and Sentinel! Whether you want to defend the weak and inspire your allies to amazing feats as a Guardian or learn the art of using two Lightsabers simultaneously to create an intricate web of damage as a Sentinel, the Advanced Class system in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ will help you customize your character. Check out the Jedi Knight section on the HoloNet for more information! Check out the media section to see a new video of the Jedi Knight in action, and download some never-before-seen screenshots!

Welcome To Indefinite-Alliance: Refurbished

Welcome to all browsers, in this short article I will go over some of the things that have changed on the site and how we’ve improved everything from our design to the strength of our community!
An all new design
Both the website and forum have gone through a complete redesign, making both elements much brighter and easier to read but retaining a Star Wars character through the backgrounds and logos. I would like to take this time to thank our Art Director and Special Tactical Commander, Williang – for all his hard work on the background of both the website and forum.
New, more detailed pages
We have added some new pages and changed the content in the old ones to make the website overall a lot more interesting and informative. The new pages that I would like to feature in this article is the Media category and all its sub-pages: Images, Videos and Guild Creations. Although we don’t have a whole lot of content in them yet, it will grow and hopefully become very interesting indeed.
Member articles
Our members will finally get a chance to learn the ropes of writing for the main website and will write news posts, features and we may even have some monthly columns! This feature will take some time to implement officially but it it should be out in the not too distant future.
Forum
We have added a chatbox to the forum, allowing all members that are online at the same time to communicate easier. In addition, we now have a “quick reply” feature added to the forum along with the new design.
Known Issues:
- Banner for forum not displaying properly
- Links on forum not coded yet

Now I Am The Master….
Posted by Aetheus - Tuesday, August 10th, 2010
… If you strike me down, my design will look more awesome than you could possibly imagine.
The long road from starting to build the new website and forum is finally in its completion stages. This weekend the new website and forum will be launched and as a result I am going to be moving some of the content over, starting now. You will likely see the names of some pages change, some page content disappear all together and other stuff you won’t see until the site is officially released.
The site changes are planned for this Friday/Saturday and I apologise in advance if the site at all looks muddled until that point. Please note, the best time to view the site will be on Saturday evening (GMT) as moving elements across will be fairly slow and it won’t look normal.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you have an account on the website, it will be deleted THIS COMING FRIDAY OR SATURDAY (13-14/08/2010), We will be putting our new system in place which will allow people to comment on the website without logging in! Also note that we have anti-spam features in place and I will not be allowing any advertising to get through the filter.

The Mandalorian Wars Holocord & New Playable Species Revealed
Posted by Aetheus - Friday, August 6th, 2010
The Mandalorian Wars
The Mandalorian Wars included some of the bloodiest battles in the Republic’s history. Mandalore the Ultimate’s relentless campaign to goad the Jedi into open conflict cost the lives of millions. Though the entrance of a Jedi splinter faction into the war is perceived as the factor that turned the tide against the Mandalorians, the perseverance of Republic soldiers and pilots like Carth Onasi cannot be underestimated. Jedi Master Gnost-Dural’s historical investigation analyzes the conflict with the perspective of modern events, highlighting the implications for the war against the Sith Empire.
New Playable Species Revealed
So far we’ve only dropped hints about the range of playable species in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. You may have heard about the Rattataki Bounty Hunter, Chiss Imperial Agent, or the Twi’lek Smuggler, but we can tell you now that all classes will include optional non-human species.
There was some confusion on the Official Forums about whether there were restrictions to the race, so you could only be Zabrak (example) if you are a Jedi Knight. Sean Dahlberg posted this to clear up any queries players might have.
As excited for these playable species as we hope you are, the list is not yet complete. We look forward to announcing further options in the coming months. We will also have additional details on the species above, so check the Inhabitants section regularly to make sure you get the latest information available.
