Planet: Alderaan Revealed

Ald

“Ever wonder what happened on Alderaan before the Death Star reduced it to an asteroid field? Now you can see it for yourself! We are excited to announce Alderaan – a planet famed for its natural beauty – as the next playable planet in The Old Republic™!”  - Sean Dahlberg

You can now access the planet from the Holonet to see screenshots, concept art, a video, and even some wallpapers!

Mirroring and Diversity

TPBH-Resized

Mirroring classes in MMOs has never been perfected, for some in the genre, classes are directly mirrored between factions. City of Heroes has a system like this, classes are the same with minor changes such as names, and spell details. Guild: GSC Voice Client

IAGSC

Although we have stated we will be using a Ventrilo based client, in the interest of keeping costs down prior to the games release, we have decided to use a free client. The GSC client requires you to sign up, but has no costs incurred and can hold up to 200 people per server. Although the voice quality is lower than Ventrilo, it is very good considering it is free.

We are glad to announce our members are now able to speak to each other across their microphones. If you are a member, check out the general section on the forum for information on installing the client and getting on our server.

Software Update and Minor Changes

[UPDATE]: The changes are now complete, the website is working smoothly :)

The website will be going to a small amount of maintenance soon. In regards to this, I apologise in advance if anything is broken, if so, it should be fixed soon. We are also working on making the website open to anyone who wishes to sign up, allowing people to comment and become apart of the guild + community.

Check back next week for more information on that.

Class: Like James Bond, But A Lot More Gadgets and Lazers!

This Friday saw the official release of the Imperial Agent class, now available to access on the HoloNet.

I have taken a good look at this class, and I think it is one of the most interesting that has been released yet. In fact, it has sparked so much interest for me that I have an idea for an article. Check back later this evening to read it!
